(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 26, 2014, in Hanoi, the General Department of Taxation, Ministry of Finance, held an online conference to summarize tax work tasks in 2014 and implement tasks for 2015. Presiding at the Hanoi location were Comrade Vu Van Ninh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Prime Minister, and Comrade Dinh Tien Dung - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Minister of Finance.

The conference was attended by representatives from 63 provincial tax departments. At the Nghe An branch, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Deputy Director of the Nghe An Tax Department, presided over the meeting.

In 2014, despite the challenging economic situation and complex natural disasters and epidemics, the tax sector successfully completed its assigned state budget revenue target of VND 624,200 billion, including VND 85,200 billion from crude oil and VND 539,000 billion from domestic sources. To date, 57 out of 63 provinces and cities (including Nghe An) have completed their statutory revenue targets, while 6 localities have not; 43 localities experienced revenue growth compared to 2013. In addition to the above indicators, in 2014, the tax sector effectively carried out taxpayer outreach and support, focusing on managing tax declarations, accounting, and VAT refunds; strengthening inspection and auditing to combat revenue loss; and continuing to implement directives from the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Ministry of Finance on reforming tax administrative procedures to facilitate taxpayers. Attending the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh delivered a keynote address outlining the major directions and goals that the tax sector must focus on achieving in 2015. Based on the presentations and proposals from representatives of provincial tax departments, the conference agreed on 20 solutions to be implemented in 2015, with the main focus being on achieving a revenue increase of 8-10% compared to the targets set by the Government and the Ministry of Finance; specifically for the individual business sector, the target is a minimum increase of 16-18% compared to the 2014 performance assessment.
