Nghe An Health Sector launched a campaign to support people affected by floods

Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, on the morning of July 26, Nghe An Department of Health organized a launching ceremony to support people affected by storm No. 3.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Dr. Le Thi Hoai Chung - Director of the DepartmentMedicalNghe An emphasized: Storm No. 3 has passed, but the consequences it left behind are still very severe. In that situation, the joint efforts of the entire Nghe An Health sector are not only a practical action to help people overcome difficulties, but also a beautiful symbol of solidarity and responsibility to the community.

The health sector has been organizing medical volunteer groups to flood-affected and isolated areas to support medical examination and treatment, and provide free medicine, especially medicine for disease prevention and control, environmental sanitation, clean water, medicine and medical supplies, and essential necessities for people in flood-affected areas.

At the ceremony, health sector staff donated 850.25 million VND (the Department of Health donated 83 million VND; Nghe An General Hospital donated 350 million VND; Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital donated 100 million VND; Nghe An Endocrinology Hospital donated 110 million VND; Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital donated 75 million VND; Nghe An Mental Hospital donated 56 million VND; Central ENT Hospital donated 50 million VND; Medical IT Group donated nearly 27 million VND).

This money will be transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province to hand over to people in flood-affected areas.

Nghe An Department of Health continues to call on businesses and philanthropists to support people in flood-affected areas to stabilize their lives soon; work with the health sector to restore and repair damaged medical facilities, ensure uninterrupted medical examination and treatment, and meet health care needs after the storm and flood./.
