January 25, 1829:Mr. Ich Khiem was born on December 21, Mau Ty year (January 25, 1829) in Phong Le Bac, Hoa Tho Dong ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang city. Mr. Ich Khiem was a famous general under the Nguyen dynasty, considered a talented general, with many resources and a patriotic, steadfast scholar, wholeheartedly loyal to the Nguyen dynasty. He once commanded the Nguyen army to fight the French in Da Nang with General Nguyen Tri Phuong. He also participated with Ton That Thuyet in controlling the court, deposing weak and cowardly kings before the enemy.

January 25, 1948:President Ho Chi Minh signed Decree No. 119/SL, establishing the General Inspectorate of the Vietnam National Army (now the Inspectorate of the Ministry of National Defense). This was the first ministerial-level inspection organization in the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
