May 6th Opening Ceremony of the 7th Huda Cup Student Football Tournament
(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of May 6th at 3:00 p.m., at Military Zone 4 Stadium, Vinh City, Nghe An Province, the 7th Huda Cup Student Football Tournament for the North Central Region 2013 will open. The tournament will take place over 5 days from May 6th to 11th.
To prepare for the opening, on the morning of May 5 in Vinh city, the Organizing Committee held a final professional meeting, drawing lots to divide the groups under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Minh Ngoc, Deputy Director of Nghe An Radio and Television Station. The North Central region student football tournament for the Huda Cup has become a traditional tournament in response to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" to practically celebrate the 123rd anniversary of his birth, contributing to the development of the sports movement among students of universities, colleges, and vocational high schools in the area.
The teams are drawn into groups.
This year's tournament has 8 participating teams divided into 2 groups: Group A includes 4 teams: Duy Tan University - Da Nang City, University of Science - Hue University, Quang Binh University and Vinh University. Group B includes 4 teams: Faculty of Physical Education - Hue University, Hong Duc University - Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh Medical College and Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College.
The tournament will take place in 15 matches, including 12 qualifying matches in 2 groups competing in a round robin to select the 1st and 2nd teams to enter the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, the first team of group A will meet the second team of group B and the first team of group B will meet the second team of group A, the 2 losing teams will share the third prize, the 2 winning teams will compete for the first and second place. On the morning of May 6, the match will take place at 7:30 am between Duy Tan University and University of Science - Hue University; at 2 pm on the same day, the second match will be between the Faculty of Physical Education - Hue University and Hong Duc University. At 3 pm, the opening ceremony and the third match will be between Quang Binh University and Vinh University; the final and closing match will be broadcast live on NTV.
