A bumper day of Gold Medals for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 32nd SEA Games
(Baonghean.vn) - Athletes of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation have excellently won 9 more Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals and 5 Bronze Medals on the competition day of May 7 at the 32nd SEA Games.
After an impressive first official competition day, Vietnamese athletes continued their success by winning 9 Gold Medals on the competition day of May 7 atSEA Games 32.Thus, this achievement helped the Vietnamese Sports Delegation win a total of 15 Gold Medals, temporarily rising to fourth place in the medal tally of the 32nd SEA Games.
In addition, the Vietnamese delegation also won 18 Silver Medals and 27 Bronze Medals. Athlete Pham Tien San was the "golden starter" for the Vietnamese delegation on the competition day of May 7 when he finished first in the men's individual duathlon final.
Following the success of Tien San, female martial artist Hoang Thi My Tam excellently won the 3rd Gold Medal for Vietnamese Karate at the 32nd SEA Games in the women's 55kg weight category. Immediately after that, Dinh Thi Huong also excellently defeated her Filipino opponent with a score of 7-4 in the women's under 68kg weight category to bring home the 4th Gold Medal for Vietnamese Karate at the 32nd SEA Games. This is Dinh Thi Huong's first Gold Medal after 3 times participating in the SEA Games.
