(Baonghean.vn) – On July 19th, at the Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, the Nghe An health sector organized the "White Blouse Blood Donation Day" for doctors, nurses, and staff working in the sector to voluntarily donate blood, aiming to address the blood shortage to save patients during the summer of 2015.
Attending the event were Comrade Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, member of the Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign Committee, representatives of the Red Cross Society, and a large number of doctors, nurses, and medical staff.
The event attracted more than 900 officials, doctors, and medical staff from 33 units under the health sector to register to participate in blood donation.
With the message "Connecting the Vietnamese Bloodline," the 2015 "Pink Drops, White Blouses" blood donation event is expected to collect 600-700 units of voluntary blood.
The collected blood units will be separated and extracted by the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, providing more life-saving options for patients.
This noble event serves to educate healthcare professionals about the spirit of volunteerism, mutual support, and dedication to patients.
