(Baonghean.vn) – On July 19, at Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, Nghe An health sector organized the White Blouse Pink Drop Festival for doctors, medical staff and staff working in the sector to voluntarily donate blood, in order to solve the shortage of blood to save patients in the summer of 2015.
Attending the festival were comrade Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, member of the Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization Committee, representative of the Red Cross Society and many doctors, nurses and staff working in the medical sector.
The festival attracted more than 900 officers, doctors and nurses from 33 units under the medical sector to register to donate blood.
With the message "Connecting Vietnamese blood", the 2015 blood donation festival "White Blouse Drops" is expected to collect 600 - 700 units of voluntary blood.
The collected blood units will be separated and extracted by the Provincial Hematology - Blood Transfusion Center to create more life sources for patients.
This noble festival is meant to educate medical staff about the spirit of volunteerism, mutual love, and devotion to patients.
