"Drops of Red from Nghe An" Festival

(Baonghean.vn) -In anticipation of National Blood Donation Day (April 7th), on the morning of April 5th, the Vinh City Living Blood Bank Club, in collaboration with the Nghe An Hematology Center, organized a blood donation event titled "Drops of Red from Nghe An".

Many young people came to participate in "Drops of Red from Nghe An".

In just one morning, the "Drop of Red Blood from Nghe An" event attracted many students, young people, and officials from across the province to participate in blood donation. The event collected over 250 units of blood for the hospital's blood bank, serving the needs of emergency care and treatment for the people. With the noble meaning of "A drop of blood given – A life saved," the Vinh City Living Blood Bank Club organizes two blood donation drives annually. These voluntary blood donations, each contributing a little, will bring life to many less fortunate and critically ill individuals, bringing faith and hope to the community.

In addition to donating blood, the "Giọt hồng xứ Nghệ" event also includes games such as stilt walking and eel catching to create a fun atmosphere and foster camaraderie among students from various universities and colleges.

Besides the "Drop of Red in Nghe An" program, the Vinh City Living Blood Bank Club also participates in many other blood donation activities organized annually by the National Institute of Hematology, the Provincial Youth Union, the Vinh City Youth Union, etc. The volunteers also connect with hospitals in the province, especially Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, so that in case of an emergency blood shortage, they can call upon and contact young people and volunteers to donate blood to save lives.
