Tomorrow (August 11), Nghe An Provincial People's Court will hold the first instance trial of 37 defendants in a case of fraud and appropriation of nearly 9 billion VND online from Cambodia.
Tomorrow (August 11), the People's Court of Nghe An province will open the first instance trial of the case of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" using high technology in cyberspace, against 37 defendants. The trial is scheduled to take place over 3 days, from August 11 to 13, 2025.
In this case, the defendants operated in two companies based in the Kingdom of Cambodia, using the internet to commit fraud. Using many sophisticated tricks, the group appropriated the assets of 4 victims who were Vietnamese citizens, with a total amount of up to 8,688,549,995 VND.
Notably, among the defendants, there are many people who have close relationships such as husband and wife, siblings and relatives, showing the organized nature and close connection in the process of committing the crime.

The trial is expected to attract special public attention due to the large number of defendants, the complex crimes and the serious consequences for the people. Nghe An newspapers, radio and television will report on the trial to serve the people's need for official information.
