Tomorrow, start registering for the competency assessment test

The Hanoi National University's Competency Assessment Exam, held in 7 provinces and cities across the country, will officially open for registration from 8:00 a.m. tomorrow (March 2) until 5:00 p.m. on March 22.

This year, the Competency Assessment Exam (CAP) of VNU-Hanoi is still held in 7 provinces and cities across the country: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Vinh (Nghe An) and Da Nang.

The official registration period for the first round of the National High School Examination starts from 8:00 a.m. on March 2 to 5:00 p.m. on March 22. The examination starts on May 5. Candidates will take the test on a computer with 140 multiple-choice questions within 195 minutes.

The exam is divided into 2 phases: Phase 1 takes place from May 5 - 8, 2016. Phase 2 takes place from May 13 - 15, 2016.

This year, the National University of Hanoi's National High School Graduation Exam will still be held in 7 provinces and cities across the country.

The results of the National High School Examination are valid for admission to member universities of VNU and to universities and colleges not affiliated to VNU that have announced the use of the National High School Examination results and have been approved by VNU for admission. The results of the National High School Examination are retained for 24 months from the date of the examination.

The subjects who are eligible to take the National High School Exam are those who have completed the high school program; those who have graduated from high school; those who have graduated from vocational colleges, vocational intermediate schools and have a high school diploma. Those who have graduated from vocational colleges and vocational intermediate schools but do not have a high school diploma must study and be recognized as having completed the cultural subjects in the high school education program.

In addition to registering for the National High School Exam, candidates must register for a foreign language exam that meets the admission requirements of each training program.

For candidates who wish to register for only the foreign language test, candidates must have the results of the 2015 National University Entrance Exam that meet the entrance quality assurance threshold of VNU. After completing the registration steps and paying the exam fee as prescribed, candidates will receive an exam registration form.

Note that the information on the candidate's registration form is the basis for determining the candidate's authentic information when taking the exam, so candidates need to fully and accurately declare personal information and other requirements on the registration form (especially information about full name, date of birth, ID card number/Citizen ID card, address to receive the Certificate of exam results). During an exam, each ID card number/Citizen ID card can only be registered once.
