The 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day in Nghe An, with the theme 'The Homeland Soars High'.

On the morning of February 10th, the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts, in coordination with the Provincial Cultural Center and the Vietnam Dance Artists Association branch in Nghe An, organized the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day with the theme "The Homeland Soars High".

Attending the program were: Tran Quoc Khanh – Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Quach Thi Cuong – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; Ho Mau Thanh – President of the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations; leaders of the Provincial Cultural Center; poets, artists and poetry lovers.

The opening speech for the Vietnamese Poetry Day Spring 2025, presented by poet Ho Mau Thanh - Chairman of the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations, stated: On the 15th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Rat - 1948, amidst the urgent and fierce resistance war against the French, beloved Uncle Ho composed the poem "Lantern Festival"This poem expresses a blend of romantic inspiration and profound reflections on life and human emotions; it is both a beautiful and moving verse about nature, and a reflection of the author's deep affection for his people and his country."

In 2003, with the approval of the Central Ideology and Culture Committee (now the Central Propaganda Department) and the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Vietnam Writers Association decided to designate the Lantern Festival (the 15th day of the 15th lunar month) as Vietnam Poetry Day.

Over more than 20 springs, alongside the development of the country, Vietnam Poetry Day has been celebrated enthusiastically, with many lively and creative forms. It can be said that Vietnam Poetry Day has contributed to affirming the value of poetry, an indispensable spiritual nourishment for the public, with great significance for social life, contributing to nurturing the human soul and guiding people towards true, good, and beautiful values.

Welcome to the Year of the Snake 2025 - a year with many significant events: the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party, and the 135th anniversary of the birth of...President Ho Chi MinhOn the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the nation, spring promises many good things to come in the era of national resurgence. The Vietnam Writers Association has chosen the theme for this year's Poetry Day as "The Homeland Soars," inspired by the poem...""The homeland soars into the boundless spring" in the poem""The Stance of Vietnam" by poet and martyr Le Anh Xuan.

Nghe An is a land of outstanding people and rich poetic traditions. It has contributed great talents to national poetry, such as Phan Thuc Truc, Ho Xuan Huong, Phan Boi Chau, and especially President Ho Chi Minh – the national liberation hero and outstanding cultural figure. Today, Nghe An's poetry truly enriches and diversifies the national poetry scene.

In the program for Vietnam Poetry DaySpring of the Year of the Snake (2015)In 2025 in Nghe An, President Ho Chi Minh's poem "Nguyen Tieu" (Lantern Festival) once again resonated amidst a space filled with fragrant colors.

Following this was a performance of songs set to poetry, interspersed with interactions between poets and poetry-loving audiences. The songs and poems presented in the program praised the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, the country's renewal, and focused on themes of love and friendship.

The 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day in Nghe An took place in a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere, bringing much joy to artists and poetry lovers alike.
