The 'golden' day of Nghe An team
(Baonghean.vn) - On the 8th day of competition, the National Phu Dong Sports Festival marked the home team Nghe An with 2 Gold Medals in volleyball.
The women's volleyball final was the second encounter between the Phu Tho and Nghe An women's teams. However, due to the comfortable mentality of having won the qualifying round and the enthusiastic support of the home audience, the Nghe An women's volleyball team easily won convincingly with a score of 2-0, winning the Gold Medal in the women's event.
In the final match of the men's event, Nghe An also met their old rival Hanoi. After two matches with the scores of 25-14 and 25-15, Nghe An team excellently won the Gold Medal.
With these two medals, Nghe An delegation increased the number of Gold Medals to 5 and jumped nearly 10 places on the final rankings to 13th place.

In women's football, after losing to Ho Chi Minh City in the semi-final with a score of 1-3, the women's football team accepted the Bronze Medal along with Can Tho team. Tomorrow (September 8), the two teams Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will meet in the final match.
Today, the taekwondo team also won two more Bronze Medals in the high school competition in the 73 kg category for Nguyen Tuan Dat and the 78 kg category for Tran Manh Dat.
