A joyful day in Muong Qua land.

(Baonghean)Every year in mid-April, the District Party Committee, the District People's Council, the District People's Committee of Con Cuong district, and the people of the Muong Qua region (including Mon Son and Luc Da communes) organize a ceremony to commemorate the founding day of the Mon Son Party Branch, the first Party branch in the mountainous districts of Nghe An province.

In 1931, to secure forces and maintain the revolutionary base, the Central Committee of the Vietnam People's Army sent several party members to the Muong Qua area to coordinate activities and build the revolutionary movement. In March 1931, a struggle against the tyrannical landlords broke out in Muong Qua and achieved victory. In April 1931, the Mon Son Party Branch was officially established, consisting of 5 party members, with Comrade Vi Van Khang as secretary. The branch immediately began leading the struggle and achieved many victories throughout the revolutionary periods.

This year, commemorating the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Mon Son Party Branch, many practical activities were organized, including offering incense at the memorial monument at the Vi Van Khang family's house, a rally, an exhibition of paintings, photographs and historical documents, along with cultural and sports activities and attractive folk games... creating a festival for the people of the Muong Qua region.
