Springtime in Huoi Vieng village

(Baonghean.vn) - During our trip to the highlands of Dooc May commune, Ky Son district (Nghe An province), we had the opportunity to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) with the Mong people of Huoi Vieng village, Dooc May commune.

Under the chilly weather of the border region, Hmong men and women, dressed in their colorful traditional clothing, joyfully welcomed the spring with happiness. Thanks to the attention of the Party and State, and all levels of government, the lives of ethnic minorities in general, and the Hmong people in Huoi Vieng village in particular, have gradually improved. Celebrating the traditional New Year of the Hmong people in Huoi Vieng, the border guards are always present – ​​those who, day and night, stand firm with their weapons, protecting the peace of the Fatherland's border, helping the people develop economically, culturally, and socially, and maintaining Huoi Vieng's status as a cultural village in the high border region.
