Evaluating the talent and virtue of Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi, King Le Thanh Tong once wrote: “…A dignified demeanor, a strong personality. Helping Cao Hoang (Le Loi) when he opened the country in hundreds of difficult battles, assisting Tien Khao (Le Thai Tong, Le Nhan Tong) to protect the country, wholeheartedly helping the people; outside, he fulfilled his duty as a military general, inside, he fulfilled his duty as a civil general, the loyalty of a subject to his son was truly unmatched… All the officials admired his demeanor, the four seas looked up to his reputation…”.
