Nghe An: 10 years attracting 980 investment projects
(Baonghean.vn) - Of which, there are 927 domestic investment projects, with more than 112 trillion VND and 53 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with more than 163 trillion VND.
The 10 years of organizing the Spring Meeting with Investors (2009-2018) was also the period when the largest amount of investment capital was poured into Nghe An. In 2017 alone, the province granted 176 new projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 14,561 billion.

Attracting investment contributes to economic restructuring: Reducing the proportion of agriculture - forestry - fishery from 28% in 2009 to 22.2% in 2017, and increasing the proportion of service industry from 37% in 2009 to 47.3% in 2017.
Some projects have been put into effective operation such as: TH concentrated industrial scale livestock and milk processing project, investment capital of 1.2 billion USD; Greenhouse vegetable and flower growing project, investment capital of 2,423 billion VND, area of 520 hectares; Nghe An Wood Factory Project, investment capital of 1,896 billion VND; VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park Project 15.2 million USD; Vinpearl Cua Hoi hotel, entertainment complex and resort villa complex 900 billion VND; WHA Hemaraj Industrial Park with a total investment of about 1 billion USD; Northern Food Industry Center in Nghe An 1,200 billion VND...

Attracting investment during this period increased the provincial budget revenue, increasing by an average of more than 1,000 billion VND per year; from 3,436 billion VND in 2009 to 12,030.7 billion VND in 2017. The average income per capita in Nghe An reached 29 million VND.
On average, it has attracted more than 14,000 workers each year, bringing the total number of employed workers in the province to 26,000 - 27,000 people.
