Nghe An: 162 communes reach new rural finish line
(Baonghean.vn) - Up to now, Nghe An has 152 communes that have been recognized as meeting new rural standards (NTM) and 10 communes that have met 19/19 criteria are completing documents for review and appraisal.
Thus, it can be calculated that up to now, the whole province has 162 communes meeting 19/19 criteria, accounting for 37.59%. In addition, there are 3 communes selected by the Provincial People's Committee to build model new rural areas including: Quynh Doi (Quynh Luu), Kim Lien (Nam Dan) and Son Thanh (Yen Thanh).
The province's three new rural communes are completing each criterion to strive to become a model new rural commune by 2020, mainly relying on people's contributions.

Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said: In October 2017, the agricultural sector actively directed the implementation of the plan to build new rural areas, focusing on implementing the contents of the items that have been assigned capital in the 2017 plan; urging communes to complete the criteria for new rural areas, preparing appraisal records for communes that meet the standards; organizing direct work with Nam Dan district to ensure the completion of the district's construction to meet the 2017 new rural standards.
In the coming time, the industry will continue to focus on inspecting and evaluating the results of building production development models in localities; directing localities to increase the number of communes meeting the NTM standards in 2017 under the National Target Program on NTM construction.
