Nghe An: 2.5 billion VND to support relatives and families of martyrs

On the afternoon of January 20, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs held the 3rd Executive Committee Meeting for the 2019-2024 term; summarizing activities in 2020 and deploying tasks for 2021.

In 2020, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs focused on propagating and implementing plans to mobilize organizations and individuals to support the Fund for Supporting Families of Martyrs; providing specific advice and guidance to relatives of martyrs' families on the policies of the Party and State so that families can enjoy benefits, providing information to search for martyrs, etc.

Thanks to many practical and specific ways, by the end of 2020, 110 businesses, organizations and individuals had supported the Martyrs' Families Support Fund, with a total amount of more than 2.6 billion VND; exceeding the target set by the Congress. From the mobilized amount, the Association supported the construction of 32 gratitude houses, gave gifts, and provided flood relief...; with a total amount of more than 2.5 billion VND.

The Association's goal for next year is to mobilize the Association's Fund to achieve the set target to support the construction of 25 gratitude houses and continue to effectively maintain support activities for relatives and families of martyrs in the province.

Recognizing the contributions to the association's work of collectives and individuals in the past year, on this occasion, 8 collectives of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in localities and 12 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit, Excellent Emulation Flags by the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee... /.
