Dr. Hoang Thi Thanh Loan, Head of the Infectious Diseases Department at Dien Chau General Hospital, said that the hospital is currently treating 25 patients with food poisoning. Of these, 20 ate bread from Quynh bakery (Dien Chau commune); the remaining 5 cases consumed other foods such as pastries, mangoes, pineapples, stir-fried snails, etc., so the specific cause cannot yet be determined.

Currently, all patients are still being monitored and treated at the hospital. The health of some has stabilized, but they still need continued monitoring due to severe digestive symptoms.

Immediately after the incident occurred, authorities inspected the suspected business establishment; they also collected food and biological samples for testing to determine the cause.
