Routes QL46, QL15, DT.542, DT.542C are key traffic routes of the province, with high density of freight vehicles; The Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Transport to direct the Inspection force to strengthen the control of vehicle load on the route, proactively coordinate with localities where the route passes through to promptly detect, prevent and handle overloaded vehicle activities.
In the first 6 months of 2016, on National Highway 15, National Highway 46, Provincial Road 542, Provincial Road 542C, the Traffic Inspectorate inspected more than 1,000 trucks, handled 245 violations with a fine of 573.5 million VND. |
However, the situation of transporting oversized and overloaded goods still occurs, the reasons are: The province is large, the force is thin, the inspection and handling of oversized and overloaded vehicles is only focused on key routes and areas with high traffic volume...

To overcome the above situation, in the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will direct the Department of Transport and the Police Force to implement the following solutions:
- Continue to strengthen the propaganda and dissemination of laws to organizations and individuals, and organize the signing of commitments not to violate the provisions of the law on freight transport with road management agencies and local authorities.
- Mobilize capital to build 6 mobile weighing stations on approved routes.

- Recommend that the authorities have a plan to integrate vehicle weight checks at the Ben Thuy and Hoang Mai toll stations to control overloaded vehicles. Coordinate with the authorities to handle violations of overloaded vehicles right at the toll station, resolutely refuse to serve overloaded vehicles that have been handled many times but still violate.
- Strengthen control of vehicle load in the whole province; increase inspection and control teams on roads with large vehicles operating, and routes avoiding load control.
- Tighten the inspection of road motor vehicles, strictly handle the phenomenon of arbitrarily changing the structure and shape of vehicles to serve the purpose of transporting overloaded goods.
