Nghe An: 27 thousand meritorious people received the first phase of support from the social security package
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the decision just issued by the Provincial People's Committee, Nghe An currently has 26,927 people with revolutionary contributions who are entitled to the social security package worth 62,000 billion VND. This group of people will be paid the first phase, with 500,000 VND/person/month, within 3 months.
The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 1364/QD-UBND dated April 29, 2020, according to the provisions of Decision No. 15/2020/QD-TTg dated April 24, 2020 of the Prime Minister. This Decision implements support for beneficiaries of preferential allowances for people with revolutionary contributions for units, including districts and towns: Nghi Loc, Ky Son, Tan Ky, Que Phong, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, Hoang Mai town, Thai Hoa town, Cua Lo town and the Center for Nursing War Invalids, Nghe An Center for Nursing War Invalids with Psychiatric Disorders.
Accordingly, the whole province will have 26,927 people who are receiving preferential allowances for people with revolutionary contributions supported in the first phase of the social security package, each person will be paid 500,000 VND/month, within 3 months (4, 5, 6). Total support budget: 40,390,500,000 VND.The first payment source will use the provincial budget advance.

According to the terms of this decision, the Chairman of the District People's Committee must organize timely payment to beneficiaries in the district through the Post Office.
The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs directed the Center for Nursing War Invalids and the Nghe An Center for Nursing War Invalids with Psychiatric Disorders to promptly pay the subjects.
According to Resolution No. 42/NQ-CP dated April 9, 2020 of the Government; Decision No. 15/2020/QD-TTg dated April 24, 2020 of the Prime Minister, people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic will be supported by a social security package of VND 62,000 billion.
The groups of beneficiaries include: People with revolutionary contributions who are receiving policies; Poor and near-poor households; People receiving social security policies; Employees whose labor contracts are temporarily suspended or who take unpaid leave during the term of the labor contract; Business households with revenue of less than VND 100 million, temporarily suspending business from April 1, 2020; Employees whose labor contracts or work contracts are terminated but are not eligible for unemployment benefits; Employees without a labor contract who have lost their jobs.
