(Baonghean.vn) - On September 17, the Investigation Police Agency, Nghe An Police, issued decisions to prosecute the accused and issued orders prohibiting them from leaving their place of residence for 03 accused, including Cao Thanh Long, Dinh Tien Dung, and Bui Van Son, for the crime of Abusing position and power while performing official duties.

After initiating the case, the Economic Police Department investigated and determined that the three defendants, including Cao Thanh Long (born in 1960), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kim Lien Cooperative; Bui Van Son (born in 1965), Deputy Director of Kim Lien Cooperative; Dinh Tien Dung (born in 1959), Accountant of Kim Lien Cooperative, all residing in Dien Kim Commune, Dien Chau District, took advantage of Nghe An Province's regulations on implementing support policies for salt-producing households in the area to discuss and agree to create fake documents to get money to support salt-producing households in Dien Kim Commune, Dien Chau District.
The fake documents signed by the subjects include: Application for implementing the salt policy; minutes of the hamlet meeting to review households that are allowed to build improved filters or spread crystallization panels; minutes of facility acceptance; list of individual households implementing the support policy for building filters or spreading crystallization panels; list of payments to household owners implementing the salt policy.

The forged documents for payment of the above support money were not discussed with the Kim Lien Cooperative delegates, the Board of Supervisors and the treasurer did not know and were not discussed. Based on the statements of the subjects and evidence, the Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police determined that from 2017 to 2020, the Board of Directors of Kim Lien Cooperative forged documents requesting support for the construction of 151 improved filters for 96 members of Bac Lien, Kim Lien, Nam Lien hamlets, Dien Kim commune, causing a loss to the State of 453 million VND.

After the case was clarified by the investigation agency, the defendants in the case voluntarily remedied all the damages caused and actively cooperated with the Investigation Police Agency.
Currently, the Economic Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) is continuing to investigate and resolve the case.
