Nghe An: Nearly 43 thousand tons of seafood caught in 4 months
(Baonghean.vn) - Thanks to the active construction of large ships and large engines for offshore fishing, the output of seafood caught in Nghe An is increasingly large. In the first 4 months of the year, the total output of seafood caught in the province is estimated at nearly 43 thousand tons, an increase of more than 11% over the same period.
Quynh Lap Commune - Hoang Mai Town currently has 220 fishing boats, of which 150 have engines of over 90CV. According to Mr. Phan Van Hai - Chairman of Quynh Lap Commune Fisheries Association, in the first 4 months of the year, the local seafood output is estimated at about 7 thousand tons.

Like Quynh Lap commune, many other localities in Quynh Luu and Dien Chau districts in recent years, fishermen have actively switched to building large-capacity ships for offshore fishing. Currently, the whole province has 1,422/3,905 fishing boats with engine capacity from 90 CV to over 1,000 CV specializing in fishing in the Gulf of Tonkin and offshore waters.
The weather in the coastal area was relatively favorable in the first months of the year, so Nghe An fishermen actively participated in fishing at sea, many types of fish with high economic value appeared, and the catch increased sharply.

According to statistics, in the first four months of the year, Nghe An's mining output was estimated at 42,824 tons, an increase of 11.41% over the same period.
