Nghe An: 47 cases of citizens violating Japanese law were deported back to their home country
(Baonghean.vn) - According to statistics, from 2017 to now, more than 1,000 Nghe An people have left for Japan under various forms, including 47 citizens who violated Japanese law and were arrested and deported back to their country.
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Document No. 6454/UBND-NC dated September 13, 2019 on a number of measures against illegal activities of Vietnamese people in Japan.
The document clearly stated that in recent times, the situation of Vietnamese people violating Japanese law has tended to become more complicated. Particularly, from 2017 to now, Nghe An has had more than 1,000 people from Nghe An go to Japan under various forms (labor export, studying abroad, tourism, working illegally...), of which 47 citizens who violated Japanese law were arrested and deported back to their country.

To proactively prevent and limit the situation of Nghe An citizens violating the law in Japan, the Provincial People's Committee requests:
Provincial PolicetRegularly coordinate and exchange with the Ministry of Public Security's professional departments to grasp the situation of Nghe An citizens violating the law in Japan, thereby promptly coordinating with relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities to deploy preventive measures, coordinate investigations and verifications to handle related organizations and individuals according to the provisions of law. Deploy professional plans to proactively detect, prevent and combat plots and activities of Vietnamese criminal organizations and individuals in Japan that collude and entice Nghe An citizens to participate in committing violations of the law of the host country, affecting the relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
Strengthening the supervision and strict control of the entry and exit activities of Nghe An citizens to Japan to detect and coordinate the strict handling of illegal residence, illegal labor and other violations of the law. Detecting and combating criminal acts, profiteering from the policy of export of labor and study abroad between Vietnam and Japan, especially the brokerage activities of bringing people to Japan for the purpose of illegal stay, and the transportation and consumption of goods with signs of illegality from Japan to Nghe An.
For the Department of Education and Training, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs:The Provincial People's Committee requested to strengthen inspection and supervision of state management of the activities of organizations related to labor export brokerage and study abroad consulting to the Japanese market; detect and strictly handle organizations that violate the law. For cases showing signs of crime, it is necessary to coordinate with the Provincial Police to investigate, clarify and handle.
Proactively reviewing and advising on the correction of legal loopholes and shortcomings are conditions for organizations and individuals to take advantage of labor export and study abroad policies from the Japanese market. Directing businesses and companies operating in the field of labor export brokerage and study abroad consulting to the Japanese market to step up propaganda and education to fully equip citizens with information on the foreign policies of the Party and State, and relevant legal knowledge when working, studying and living in Japan before leaving the country.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Foreign Affairs.Establish communication channels to manage citizens and provide legal support to the Nghe An community living, working and studying in Japan. At the same time, closely monitor the management of the number of Vietnamese international students and trainees in Japan.
For People's Committees of districts and cities,The Provincial People's Committee requested to step up propaganda measures to raise awareness and encourage citizens to strictly comply with the laws and culture of the host country when leaving the country. At the same time, conduct a review of all study abroad consulting companies and labor export brokers in the area and report to the authorities before November 15, 2019 to strengthen management measures.
