Nghe An: Billions of dong in deposits lost on 73 residential land plots.

Recently, the District People's CommitteeDien ChauThere is a Decision on canceling the results of the land auction and collecting the deposit money from customers participating in the auction for land use rights of land plots in the residential planning areas of the communes of Dien Van, Dien Dong, Dien Phuc, Dien Bich, and Dien My, to be remitted to the State budget.
Accordingly, from January 28, 2022, the Dien Chau District People's Committee approved the results of the auction for several planned residential land areas in Dien Van, Dien Dong, Dien Bich, Dien Phuc, and Dien My communes.

It is known that the land auctions in these communes were very "heated" during that period, with a large number of participants and auctioned land prices significantly higher than the normal local land prices. However, quite a number of households and individuals who were recognized as winning bidders for land use rights did not pay, or paid insufficient amounts, within the stipulated time.
Specifically, there are 73 plots of land with a total area of 13,418.74 m².2The communes of Dien Van, Dien Dong, Dien Phuc, Dien Bich, and Dien My have people who won the land auction, but...forfeit depositwith an amount exceeding 15 billion VND.
The People's Committee of Dien Chau district has assigned the Finance and Planning Department to coordinate with the Tax Sub-Department of Northern Nghe An II to handle the above amount in accordance with the law.
The reason many investors are forfeiting their deposits is that after a period of land speculation, the land market is now calming down, while some investors are unable to obtain loans from banks to complete transactions…
