Nghe An: 86% of technical workers have jobs after training

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 23, the Provincial People's Committee continued its regular April meeting to listen to and give opinions on a number of important contents. Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting, with the attendance of committee members and leaders of provincial departments and branches.

At the meeting, delegates listened to and commented on the draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on criteria for assigning tax authorities to manage newly established enterprises in Nghe An province, reported by the Tax Department. The delegates highly agreed with the content of the draft.

Next, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs reported on the assessment of 4 years of implementing the Technical Labor Training Project in Nghe An province for the period 2012-2015 and the goals and solutions for technical labor training for the period 2016-2020.

Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Bang Toan said that the forecast demand for technical labor in the period of 2016 - 2020 is about 120,000 people, of which 47,882 people will work at enterprises in the province.

After 4 years of implementing the Technical Labor Training Project, the province has organized vocational training for 51,131 people (an increase of 12.6% compared to the period 2008-2011). Every year, the graduation rate of intermediate vocational and college vocational students is over 95% (31% good and excellent); through national and ASEAN vocational skills competitions, the province's vocational students have all achieved high scores.

The number of technical workers who have jobs after training is 86%. According to the assessment of some labor recruitment enterprises, 80-85% of technical workers are employed at the right level of training.

The ranking of the Provincial Labor Training Competitiveness Index (PCI) of Nghe An compared to the whole country in the period 2011-2015 increased by 7 places.

Concluding this content, Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the elaborate preparation of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. The Department also needs to clarify the objectives, forecasts and solutions to promote technical labor training in the period of 2016-2020; at the same time, receive comments from departments, branches and members of the committee to complete the report to submit to the Provincial Party Committee in the upcoming meeting.

Also this morning, meeting members listened to and gave opinions on amending Decision No. 58/2011/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on assigning responsibilities and coordination in state management of product and goods quality in Nghe An province.
