Nghe An: 97 villages and hamlets meet new rural standards
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An has had a policy of building new rural villages and hamlets since 2016. After 3 years of implementation, up to now, 10 mountainous districts have had 97 villages and hamlets meeting new rural standards.
Nghe An province has 10 mountainous districts implementing the construction of new rural villages and hamlets, including: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Quy Hop, Quy Chau and Que Phong.

After 3 years of implementing the construction of new rural areas in villages and hamlets according to the province's criteria, localities have focused on directing strongly, and at the same time have policies to encourage villages and hamlets, so the movement to build new rural areas has been supported and actively participated by all classes of people.
By the end of 2018, the whole province had 97 villages and hamlets reaching the NTM target (according to the province's criteria, the villages and hamlets implemented 15 criteria). Of which, in 2016 there were 6 villages and hamlets; in 2017 there were 40 villages and hamlets and in 2018 there were 51 villages and hamlets. The districts with the most villages and hamlets reaching the NTM target are Tan Ky (19 villages and hamlets), Anh Son (15 villages and hamlets), Nghia Dan (14 villages and hamlets)...
In 2019, Nghe An strives to have 25 more villages meeting NTM standards according to the province's criteria.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hang - Deputy Chief of the Provincial Office for New Rural Area Coordination said: With the number of villages and hamlets meeting the New Rural Area standards in the past 3 years, it is fast compared to the target set by the Provincial People's Committee to have at least 100 villages and hamlets meeting the New Rural Area standards by 2020./.
On March 28, 2016, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1263/QD-UBND temporarily regulating the set of criteria for new rural hamlets and villages applied in mountainous communes of Nghe An province. This decision was replaced by Decision No. 2337/QD-UBND dated June 1, 2017 on promulgating the set of criteria for new rural hamlets and villages applied in mountainous communes of Nghe An province. This set of criteria for new rural hamlets and villages is a practical basis for mountainous, remote and isolated localities to implement, creating a competitive atmosphere in building new rural areas.
