Nghe An: Handing over sea dike project with total investment of 94.5 billion VND

(Baonghean.vn) -The Quynh Long, Quynh Thuan, Son Hai and Quynh Tho sea dyke projects serve socio-economic development, maintain national security and defense, and serve the lives of fishermen so that they can live and exploit the sea industry with peace of mind.

On the morning of February 15, the Nghe An Agricultural and Irrigation Planning Delegation coordinated with the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district to conduct acceptance and handover of the project.

Accordingly, the project to build the Quynh Long, Quynh Thuan, Son Hai and Quynh Tho sea dykes was approved and adjusted by the People's Committee of Nghe An province in Decision No. 2464/QD.UBND-NN dated June 10, 2010. This is a project invested by the State under the Government's coastal erosion prevention program in the annual plan, with a total investment of more than 94.5 billion VND.

The project is divided into 2 phases, of which phase 1 includes 2 packages with a total route length of 3.3 km. Phase 2 includes: construction of a dike line from Kien mountain (Quynh Long) to Hon Cau (Dien Hai commune, Dien Chau district) with a total route length of 842 m; a dike line from Hon Cau mountain to Quyet Thang mountain with a total route length of 205 m and a rescue road with a total route length of 280 m.

After more than 6 years of construction, the Quynh Long, Quynh Thuan, Son Hai and Quynh Tho sea dyke projects have been completed on schedule.

After inspecting a number of sea dikes, the Nghe An Agricultural and Irrigation Planning delegation and the District People's Committee accepted the project and handed over the sea dike project to relevant localities for self-management and protection.

The acceptance, handover and putting into use of the sea dike project in Quynh Luu district contributes significantly to socio-economic development, maintaining national security and defense, serving the lives of fishermen so that they can live and exploit the sea industry with peace of mind.
