Nghe An issues Action Plan to implement Tourism Development Strategy to 2030, vision to 2035

The Action Plan to implement the Nghe An Tourism Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2035, aims to specify the goals, tasks and solutions of the Nghe An Tourism Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2035, approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 1439/QD.UBND dated May 23, 2023.

At the same time, create consensus and high unanimity in the awareness and actions of all levels, sectors, localities and people in the whole province, determined to gradually build tourism into a spearhead economic sector; carry out specific tasks and solutions, suitable to the development situation of Nghe An tourism to effectively implement the content of the Strategy.

The objective of the Strategy is to promote the potential and advantages of geographical and cultural location, natural resources and rich cultural heritage to create a breakthrough development for Nghe An tourism; gradually turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector, contributing positively to the growth and economic restructuring of the province.

By 2030, Nghe An strives to become one of the tourist centers of the North Central region and an attractive destination of Vietnam with unique tourism products bearing the cultural imprint of Nghe An. Tourism will basically become the spearhead economic sector of the province, creating a driving force to promote the development of other industries and fields.

By 2035, Nghe An will become a tourist destination in Asia and the world, a bright spot, a leader in developing Vietnam's heritage and tourism economy, strongly developing high value-added services to increase the proportion of the service industry in the economic structure.

To achieve the set goals, the Provincial People's Committee has developed and implemented solutions, focusing on organizing the dissemination and implementation of the Strategy; promoting awareness of Nghe An tourism development. Developing tourism spaces, reviewing proposals for the implementation of a master plan for the construction of Kim Lien national tourist area; implementing and adjusting plans for tourist destinations, tourist center areas, etc. in the province.

Developing tourism products in line with the province's potential and advantages, including building unique and classy tourism products bearing the Nghe An tourism brand; developing unique and attractive mainstream tourism products; diversifying and improving the quality of complementary tourism products to meet the needs of tourists; promoting cooperation and linkage to build specialized tourism products...

Pay attention to developing the tourism market; mobilize resources to invest in building infrastructure to serve tourists; develop and improve the quality of human resources; strengthen promotion, advertising and cooperation, and develop linkages; actively apply science and technology to tourism activities and build and perfect tourism development policies...

Regarding implementation, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned provincial departments, branches, sectors, units and localities, based on their functions and tasks, to strengthen coordination and effectively implement the Action Plan to implement the Nghe An Tourism Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2035./.
