Nghe An: Arrested 4 subjects who took advantage of the time when people fled the flood to steal property
Taking advantage of the heavy rain and rising river water, forcing people to evacuate, Nguyen Viet Phuong invited his two younger brothers and a cousin to find houses with valuable assets to steal.
On October 11, Tan Phu Commune Police, Nghe An Province, announced that they had just arrested a group of four people who took advantage of the storm and flood situation in the area to steal property from local residents.

Accordingly, at around 10:00 a.m. on October 9, Tan Phu Commune Police received a complaint from a resident in Thuan Yen hamlet about his family being robbed.stolen a lot of propertyis of great value during evacuation due to storms.
Although the police were focusing on helping people overcome the damage caused by the storm, but determining that this was a serious incident, causing insecurity and disorder in the area, Tan Phu Commune Police quickly investigated and verified.
Less than 24 hours after receiving the report, at 6:00 a.m. on October 10, Tan Phu Commune Police arrested a group of 4 subjects who committed property theft, including: Nguyen Viet Son (born in 1998), Nguyen Viet Phuong (born in 1995), Nguyen Viet Manh (born in 2007), all residing in Tan Phu Commune, and Nguyen Hong Hung (born in 1995), residing in Nghia Dong Commune. Of the 4 subjects arrested, Son, Phuong, and Manh are brothers in the same family.

At the police station, the suspects confessed that they took advantage of the stormy weather, rising river water, and people having to flee the flood, leaving their houses and farms unattended. Phuong proactively discussed and invited his two younger brothers, Son and Manh, and his cousin, Hung, to prepare a joint force, using two boats to find houses with valuable assets to steal. The stolen assets were taken to another commune to be hidden in order to deal with the police.
Seized evidence: 2 boats, 2 air conditioners, 2 refrigerators, 1 harvester and many other properties with a total value of over 100 million VND.
Currently, Tan Phu Commune Police are handling the case according to the law.
