Arrested 1 subject in the act of transporting 6 individuals.pangolingo to consumption in Nghe An province.
Previously, Nghe An police received information from the public about a suspicious subject using a car to transport rare and endangered wild animals from Huong Son, Ha Tinh province to Nghe An for consumption.

On August 20, 2020, the Criminal Investigation Department of Nghe An Police established a special project coded 820D to fight. The Criminal Investigation Department sent a working group from Team 2 to ambush and monitor the subject's movements.
At 8:30 a.m. on August 31, the working group of the Traffic Police Department in coordination with Nam Dan District Police discovered Nguyen Dinh Sy (born in 1972), residing in Hamlet 3, Son Binh Commune, Huong Son District, Ha Tinh, driving a car with license plate 38A - 159.27 in Phu Xuan Hamlet, Trung Phuc Cuong Commune, Nam Dan District.
The working group conducted an administrative inspection and discovered 6 pangolins in the trunk of the car, contained in 3 white foam boxes, with a total weight of 23.8 kg. At the time of the inspection, Nguyen Dinh Sy could not present any documents or procedures to prove the origin of the animals. The working group proceeded to draw up a record.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department has handed over the suspect and evidence to Nam Dan District Police to continue investigating and expanding the case./.
