(Baonghean.vn) - Two individuals who organized online football betting involving large sums of money have been arrested by the Anh Son Police.
The Anh Son District Police announced that they have just arrested two suspects.football bettingonline with an amount exceeding 34 million VND.
During the EURO (European Football Championship 2021) finals, the Anh Son District Police noticed that some individuals in the area were taking advantage of the ongoing matches to organize gambling in the form of football betting.
Through intelligence gathering, the Anh Son District Police quickly identified Nguyen Huu Nam (born in 1990), residing in Hamlet 4, Tho Son Commune, as the organizer of online football betting.
Next, they identified Bui Van Cuong (born in 1986), residing in Long Tho village, Tho Son commune, who frequently gambled on football matches with large sums of money transferred to Nguyen Huu Nam.

The Anh Son District Police leadership directed the Criminal, Economic, and Narcotics Police Team to establish a special case to combat and handle the matter.
At 00:15 on June 30, 2021, the special task force decided to coordinate with the Tho Son Commune Police to crack the case and arrest two suspects, Nguyen Huu Nam and Bui Van Cuong, for the crime.gamblethrough football betting.
