Nghe An: 1-week-old baby girl abandoned on the side of the road

According to information provided by residents in Block 4 of Muong Xen Town (Ky Son), on the morning of March 14, many people were shocked to discover a newborn baby girl abandoned on the side of the road about 100 meters from the gate of Ky Son High School.

Ms. Hoang Thi Hoa (72 years old), the first person to discover the baby, said: At that time, at about 6:30 am, Ms. Hoa went out to clean up the shop and saw a child wrapped in a blue mosquito net, without a single piece of clothing on. Panicked, she shouted for everyone around to run over and pick up the baby. A teacher in Huu Kiem commune quickly removed the net to prevent the baby from suffocating.

The baby was then taken to Ky Son District General Hospital by a nearby family for a health check. The family representative said the baby girl was about a week old and weighed 2.6 kg. The family has now contacted the family to complete the procedures to adopt the baby.

Speaking with Nghe An Newspaper, a representative of Muong Xen Town Police (Ky Son) also confirmed the above incident and is guiding the family wishing to adopt the girl to fully follow the legal procedures.
