The province has over 45,000 martyrs, nearly 40,000 wounded soldiers, 13,000 sick soldiers, and 19,000 people who participated in the resistance war and their children who were exposed to chemical toxins… The immense sacrifices and losses of the people and comrades of the province have contributed, together with the army and people of the whole country, to enriching and continuing to write the glorious and heroic history of the Vietnamese nation in the cause of nation-building and national defense.
Over the past 70 years, through the ups and downs of each historical period, despite numerous economic and social difficulties, the Party committees, government, mass organizations, and people of the province have upheld the tradition and moral principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," consistently paying attention to and caring for the implementation of policies and regulations for wounded soldiers, families of martyrs, and those who have contributed to the revolution.
The practical experience of caring for war invalids, martyrs, and people with meritorious contributions over the past 70 years has shown that, by combining the preferential regimes and policies of the State and mass mobilization movements, along with encouraging the self-improvement of those with meritorious contributions, a combined strength has been created, ensuring increasingly better care for the lives of families with meritorious contributions to the revolution.
