Nghe An honors exemplary elderly people participating in building the grassroots political system

Attending the conference, on behalf of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly, there was comrade Nguyen Xuan Lap - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Elderly Care Committee.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial Association of the Elderly; representatives of provincial departments, branches, sectors, and units, along with 128 outstanding elderly delegates.

Over the years, the AssociationSenior CitizenAll levels have proactively deployed and organized many activities to raise awareness among the elderly about implementing the Party's Resolutions. Annual thematic study on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, with specific actions suitable for the elderly to effectively implement.

In their activities, the elderly always uphold the spirit of construction, self-criticism and criticism. Many elderly party members have promoted their pioneering and exemplary roles in leading the Party cells and people to carry out political tasks, mobilizing hundreds of millions of dong in contributions.new rural construction, creating a new, spacious, green, clean and beautiful rural appearance.

Many establishments have promoted the role of the elderly. Currently, there are 2,432 elderly people holding positions in the Party at the grassroots level, of which 1,595 are Party cell secretaries; 1,210 have continuously completed their tasks excellently for 5 consecutive years. Currently, there are 1,687 members participating as heads and deputy heads of villages, hamlets, and blocks. Of these, 1,141 have held the position for 5 years or more.

With the attention of the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and organizations, and the trust of members, the elderly are directly participating in buildingFatherland Frontand socio-political organizations are 8,004 members. Despite their old age and limited health, when assigned tasks, the elderly actively put all their abilities and experience into carrying out the assigned tasks...

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Lap - Head of the Elderly Care Committee, Vietnam Association of the Elderly acknowledged and highly appreciated the activities of the Association of the Elderly in Nghe An, especially its participation in the grassroots political system. At the same time, he hoped that the Party Committees, authorities, and Associations of the Elderly at all levels would promote the care of the elderly so that the elderly can live happily, healthily, and usefully.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the contributions of the elderly to the local socio-economic development. To promote the effectiveness of work in the coming time, Comrade Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee reminded the Association of the Elderly to step up the propaganda work on the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

Continue to encourage and create conditions for the elderly to participate in the grassroots political system; pay attention to innovating the content and methods of activities; promote the spirit of humanity and affection; actively participate in patriotic emulation movements; always be exemplary, becoming a shining example for the younger generation to follow...

On this occasion, 12 members received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Association of the Elderly; 21 members received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee; 2 members received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and 94 members received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Association of the Elderly.
