According to the reflection of Mr. Nguyen Van Kieu in village 5, Phuc Son commune: His family's pond has an area of ​​1.3 hectares, mainly raising grass carp and bighead carp, currently weighing 2-3 kg and about to be harvested. However, in recent days, due to prolonged heavy rain, the pond water rose and became cloudy, causing mass fish deaths. In just 2 days, the number of dead fish reached nearly 60 kg. Currently, his family has bought lime powder to spread all over the pond, but the phenomenon of dead fish has not decreased.

Currently, the aquaculture area in Anh Son district is 1,004 hectares. Due to the impact of floods, 265 hectares of ponds and lakes were flooded, many areas of fish died en masse, causing damage up to billions of dong.

According to the experience of the people, the fish deaths were not caused by disease because no abnormal signs were observed on the fish carcasses. The cause of the fish deaths could be due to heavy rains, rising water levels, and turbidity, causing a lack of oxygen in the pond.
