According to the plan, in 2017, Hoang Mai Town strives to plant 87,000 scattered trees, fruit trees and 90 hectares of production forest, increasing forest cover, of which, 13,500 scattered trees of all kinds will be planted during the Tet Tree Planting Campaign.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the town leaders planted souvenir trees in the grounds of Quynh Di Primary School. On February 2, the communes and wards of the town simultaneously organized the Tet tree planting campaign in the grounds of the office, schools, medical stations, memorials, inter-commune roads, hamlets and cultural houses.

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Van Duong - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Yen Thanh district said: Implementing the Tet tree planting movement, in 2016 the district planted 1,400 hectares of concentrated forest; 1,200,000 scattered trees (fruit trees; timber trees, shade trees).

In this 2017 Spring tree planting campaign, the number of trees planted in the area is greater than in 2016 with the goal of increasing the forest cover rate in the district to over 23%.
