Nghe An province is cracking down on advertising for medical examination and treatment services.
In Nghe An, there are still medical facilities that advertise examination and treatment services in a misleading way, affecting the rights of the people.
On March 17th, the Department of HealthNghe AnIssued Official Letter No. 862/SYT-NVY on "Strengthening the rectification of advertising activities for medical examination and treatment services in Nghe An province" to the Inspection Department of the Department of Health; Health Departments, Offices of the People's Council - People's Committee of districts, towns and Vinh City; and public and private medical examination and treatment facilities in the province.
The official document states: In the past, the Department of Health has issued numerous directives and guidelines regarding the verification of advertising content for medical examination and treatment services in the province. However, through inspection and monitoring, there are still instances of medical facilities advertising medical examination and treatment services without the content being verified by the competent authority; lacking content, or advertising services with incorrect content regarding the scope of professional activities, causing misunderstandings and affecting the rights of the people.
In light of this situation, the Department of Health requests that all public and private medical facilities in the province strictly comply with the regulations on verifying the content of advertisements for medical examination and treatment services as stipulated in Circular No. 09/2015/TT-BYT and the guidelines on procedures for issuing certificates of verification for advertising content of medical examination and treatment services under the authority of the Department of Health; and promptly review medical examination and treatment services currently being advertised and complete the procedures for issuing certificates of verification for advertising content as prescribed.
Nghe An Department of Health assignedInspection DepartmentThe head of the department, in coordination with the Medical Professional Affairs Department, will review and advise on the establishment of inspection teams to monitor compliance with regulations on advertising medical examination and treatment services at medical facilities in the province. During the inspection and monitoring process, if medical facilities are found to be non-compliant with current regulations, a report will be drawn up and penalties imposed in accordance with Decree 38/2021/ND-CP dated March 29, 2021, of the Government on administrative penalties in the fields of culture and advertising.
The Health Departments of districts, towns, and Vinh City shall disseminate the content and regulations related to advertising medical examination and treatment services to all medical facilities in their areas; strengthen inspection and supervision of compliance with regulations on advertising medical examination and treatment services in their areas and report to the Department of Health on administrative violations as prescribed./.
