Nghe An: Market fire at midnight, dozens of kiosks burned down
(Baonghean.vn) - The fire broke out at midnight at a kiosk located in the center of Hieu market (Thai Hoa town) and quickly spread to the adjacent kiosk. At least dozens of adjacent kiosks were completely burned down.

At 12 midnight on April 24 and early morning on April 25, the Management Board of Hieu Market and local residents discovered a fire breaking out at a kiosk in Hieu Market, Thai Hoa Town, and quickly flared up, with flames and smoke billowing high, covering the entire market.
When the incident was discovered, people shouted to hundreds of people around to put out the fire and at the same time reported to the authorities.

Upon receiving the news, Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Team No. 3; Police and Military of Thai Hoa town mobilized forces to the scene for rescue.
About 10 specialized fire trucks from the police and military units stationed in the area were mobilized to promptly put out the fire.
By 0:30, the fire was basically under control and contained. The fire did not cause any human casualties. However, dozens of kiosks selling votive offerings, grocery stores, food stalls... were burned down. The initial estimated damage was in the billions.

Three years ago, Hieu market in Thai Hoa town also had a similar fire, the locations of the fires were also close together.

According to records at the scene, the burnt kiosks were located deep in the center of the market, surrounded by rows of kiosks selling flammable items such as: clothing, shoes, plastic products...
Fortunately, the fire was detected early and controlled promptly by authorities.
