Nghe An: Grocery store fire spreads to 3-story house, estimated damage of over 1 billion VND

At 12:30 p.m. on November 3, a fire broke out at the grocery store of Nguyen Tri Dung (born in 1977) and his wife Le Thi Nhung (born in 1977), residing in Hamlet 10, Son Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District.

The fire was determined to have started in the right corner of the grocery store, then spread throughout the store. Because there were many flammable items such as books, notebooks, plastic items, shoes, and slippers, the fire spread rapidly and fiercely.

The fire raged into the first floor next to the grocery store, then continued to burn up to the second floor of the 3-story house. The estimated fire area was 200 m2.².

After that, the fire continued to burn high, spreading to Mr. Nguyen Tri Khanh's house (Mr. Dung's neighbor).

After receiving the news, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team No. 4 dispatched 2 fire trucks to the scene. Immediately after that, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team No. 5 stationed in Do Luong district coordinated the rescue, dispatching 3 more fire trucks and 18 officers and soldiers to the scene.

With the efforts of dozens of police officers and soldiers and 5 fire trucks, the fire was extinguished at 2:00 p.m. the same day.

The fire burned down all the goods in the store, a scooter, and household items on the first and second floors. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The total damage caused by the fire at Mr. Dung's household is estimated at 1 billion VND. The damage caused by the fire to Mr. Nguyen Tri Khanh's household (neighbor) alone is about 30 million VND. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the police.
