(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An is directing sectors and localities to urgently harvest crops and guide ships to take shelter safely before storm Noru arrives.

According to a quick report from the Standing Office of the Provincial Border Guard Command for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, by the end of September 24, there were 2,836 vehicles.shipand 12,601 workers are anchored at the port. Number of vehicles operating at sea: 512 vehicles/ 3,196 workers. No vehicles are in the danger zone. Vehicles operating at sea have been informed by the coastal information agency about the location and direction of storm Noru and maintain regular communication to promptly handle any bad situations that may occur.

Regarding agricultural production, the province has a total production area of 108,770 hectares, of which nearly 74 thousand hectares have been harvested. Nghe An province has 1,061 large and small lakes and dams. As of September 24, 225 lakes were full; the remaining lakes and dams were at 40% to 70% capacity. All lakes and dams are being operated by localities and units according to approved disaster prevention and control plans.
In the province, there are 22 hydroelectric reservoirs operating according to the Inter-reservoir Operation Process on the Ca River Basin and the remaining reservoirs operating according to the single-reservoir process, all of which have approved disaster prevention plans, dam and reservoir safety plans.
