(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Nghe An Statistics Office, the consumer price index in February 2023 increased by 0.36% compared to the previous month, and by 3.15% compared to the same period last year. Of which, 5 groups of goods had indexes that increased, 5 groups of goods had indexes that decreased compared to the previous month, and 1 group remained unchanged.
Average 2 months of 2023 increased by 3.48% over the same period in 2022.
Of the 11 groups of goods and services, 5 groups had indexes that increased compared to the previous month: Transportation increased by 2.41%; Housing, electricity, water and construction materials increased by 1.30%; Beverages and tobacco increased by 0.41%; Other goods and services increased by 0.22%; Education increased by 0.02%.
There are 5 groups of goods with indexes decreasing compared to the previous month: Garment, hats, footwear decreased by 0.54%; Food and catering services decreased by 0.31%; Household equipment and utensils decreased by 0.09%; Post and telecommunications decreased by 0.01%; Culture, entertainment and tourism decreased by 0.04%.
There is one group of goods with an index unchanged compared to the previous month, which is medicine and medical services.

The gold price index increased by 1.84% compared to the previous month and by 1.29% compared to the same period last year. In the first two months of 2023, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue was estimated at VND 21,537.4 billion, up 21.10% over the same period last year.
Retail sales of goods in February 2023 are estimated at VND 8,124.5 billion, accounting for 82.33% of total retail sales of goods and services, down 18.96% compared to the previous month (consumption demand of people after Tet holiday decreased) and up 33.89% over the same period last year.
