Nghe An officially confirms and directs to overcome natural disasters caused by heat

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 13, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu signed an official dispatch confirming natural disasters caused by heat waves in Nghe An province.

From June 6 to 30, in Nghe An province, the weather situation is extremely unfavorable: Severe heat, some places are especially severe, lasting with high temperatures commonly 38 - 40oC, some places over 41oC, water levels in rivers, streams and reservoirs are low.

Pursuant to State regulations, at the request of the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control confirms natural disasters caused by heat waves in Nghe An province; from June 6 to 30.

People's Committees of districts, cities and towns; provincial departments, branches and sectors and relevant units, based on Decree No. 02/2017/ND-CP dated January 9, 2017 of the Government, Decision No. 48/2017/QD-UBND dated June 5, 2017 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Decision No. 04/2019/QD-UBND dated February 19, 2019 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and other current support policies of the State, focus on directing the overcoming of natural disaster consequences, allocating district-level budget reserves to restore agricultural production in the area.

At the same time, localities review and count the damage caused by natural disasters, report to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Finance and the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control to advise the Provincial People's Committee to support damage recovery according to current regulations.
