Nghe An Department of Education and Training has just issued a document guiding schools to ensure safety in organizing childcare during the summer school period.

Accordingly, principals of non-public preschools must commit in writing and take responsibility for measures to ensure safety for teachers, staff and children when returning to operations according to the criteria for safe schools to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic. The commitment must be submitted to the Department of Education and Training for monitoring and direction.

At the same time, preschools must do a good job of advising and propagating so that parents and caregivers can honestly cooperate in declaring their children's epidemiological contact history and health status. Schools are not allowed to care for children who are in quarantine or have clinical measures such as fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. At the same time, teachers and staff returning from epidemic areas are not assigned to work.
In addition, the Department also requires principals and owners of preschools to report to the Department of Education and Training and immediately suspend childcare activities at preschools if there is an infection case in the community in the area where the school is located or if there is a direction from a competent authority.
Previously, from July 29, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training issued a document requesting kindergartens to temporarily close due to the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak. However, the long school break has made some parents passive in managing their children. In addition, kindergartens (especially public kindergartens) also encountered some difficulties in the process of operation, affecting the lives of staff and teachers.
