Nghe An has no policy to quarantine F1 at home
(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, Nghe An province has nearly 4,000 F1 cases, all of whom are in centralized quarantine.
On the morning of August 24, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province said that up to now, the province has not yet had a policy to allow F1 isolation at home. Although the number of F1 is increasing, the centralized isolation facilities are still guaranteed and there is no risk of overload.
"Although cross-infection has recently been recorded in centralized quarantine areas, in general, centralized quarantine areas are still under very good control, while F1 quarantine at home is very difficult to monitor. If you encounter someone with low awareness, the risk of spreading the disease to the community is very high," said Mr. Chinh.

Up to now, Nghe An has more than 21,000 people quarantined at home to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic. In addition, the whole province is quarantined more than 13,000 people, most of whom are from epidemic provinces.
Currently, the whole province also has nearly 4,000 F1s, all of whom are being quarantined, the highest number ever in Nghe An.
Previously, on the evening of August 23, in Dien Ky commune (Dien Chau district), an F1 case refused to comply with centralized quarantine, even though the police force came to her house to persuade her for many hours. This woman resisted by locking all the doors of her house, stripping off her clothes and cursing... She was then forced to quarantine at a school in the area.
In mid-July, Tuong Duong district also isolated and quarantined some F1s in the Cham Puong epidemic area (Luong Minh commune) at home. However, according to Mr. Lo Thanh Nhat - Vice Chairman of Tuong Duong District People's Committee, that was only a temporary measure, in case of force majeure. "At that time, we had just finished tracing F1s, but the area was very far away, and vehicles had not yet arrived to transport them to a centralized quarantine area outside the town. So we had to stretch the rope and quarantine F1s at home. When there were vehicles, they were immediately transported to the centralized quarantine area," said Mr. Nhat.
