In recent years, preliminary statistics show that nearly 45% of craft villages are operating at a low level or have stopped completely, forcing the People's Committees of some districts to request the province to consider and revoke them. Therefore, since the beginning of 2021, the province has organized a survey team to re-evaluate the current situation and based on the mechanisms and preferential policies set forth by Decree 52/CP, along with continuing to support documents and procedures for upgrading rural craft village products to meet OCOP standards, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is proposing to amend Resolution 06/NQ of the Provincial People's Council in 2019 to increase the level of support, while at the same time unlocking investment resources, finding output markets for craft villages to recover and develop again.
