Nghe An has 6 performances participating in the Festival of performing intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO
(Baonghean.vn) - The festival is one of the activities to return to the roots on the occasion of the Hung Kings' death anniversary in 2022, and at the same time celebrate the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the 2003 UNESCO Convention on the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage performance festival in Vietnam, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will take place from April 21 to 24 in Phu Tho province. This is one of the activities to return to the roots on the occasion of the Hung Kings' death anniversary in 2023, and at the same time celebrate the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Participating in the Festival are delegations of artisans from provinces and cities with intangible cultural heritage, including: Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak.
Nghe An delegation participated with 6 performances, including 5 singing and dancing performances of Vi and Giam folk songs and 1 performance of Xam singing.

At the rehearsal, the Arts Council of the Department of Culture and Sports highly appreciated the program and gave many suggestions for the Provincial Cultural Center to edit and perfect it before participating in the UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage performance festival in Vietnam.
