(Baonghean.vn) - Out of a total of 830 cooperatives in Nghe An, there are 62 cooperatives with female directors, deputy directors, and Chairwomen of the Board of Directors operating effectively.
On the morning of April 29, the Provincial Cooperative Union organized a meeting, discussion and commendation of outstanding female Chairmen of Board of Directors, Directors of Cooperatives and People's Credit Funds in the province in 2022. Attending the discussion were comrades: Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Van Ngoc - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province.

Report ofProvincial Cooperative UnionIt shows that in recent years, the collective economy, with the core being cooperatives, has received leadership and direction from the provincial Party Committee, authorities, sectors and levels and has had quite positive developments.
As of March 2022, the whole province has 830 cooperatives, accounting for 3.04% of cooperatives nationwide, of which 635 cooperatives operate in the fields of agricultural services and agricultural, forestry and fishery services; 45 cooperatives operate in the fields of industry and handicrafts; 40 cooperatives operate in the field of trade services; 9 cooperatives operate in the field of construction; 40 cooperatives operate in the field of transportation; 2 cooperatives operate in the field of environment and 59 People's Credit Funds; 02 Cooperative Unions.

NumberCooperativeThere are 450 units operating effectively, accounting for 50.5%. The average revenue in 2021 of a cooperative is 2,203 million VND/year. Labor income reaches an average of 56 million VND/year, with the aquaculture sector alone earning 80-100 million VND/year.
To date, the whole province has 249 products recognized as meeting 3 and 4 star OCOP standards, including products of 46 cooperatives and 20 cooperative groups. There are 11 cooperatives with female directors.qualified productsOCOP3 to 4 stars. Many cooperatives have actively applied science and technology, increasing the added value of products.
Of the total 830 cooperatives in the province, 62 cooperatives have female directors, deputy directors, and Chairwomen of the Board of Directors who operate effectively and promote internal resources to successfully build chain linkage models.
Besides, there are also a number of female Chairmen of Board of Directors and Directors of Cooperatives who have proactively changed production and business, diversified services, and promoted advantages.People's Credit Fundto serve and meet the needs of members and workers, such as Phong Toan Cooperative, Kim Dai Phat Cooperative, Nghi Long People's Credit Fund, Nghi Xuan People's Credit Fund, Dien Thai People's Credit Fund.

Cooperatives managed by women have made many contributions to the locality in creating jobs for workers, especially female workers. Especially in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, cooperatives have constantly strived to improve, together with members and workers to effectively carry out social security work at the grassroots level, develop production, and make many contributions to household economic development, contributing to socio-economic development and building new rural areas in the locality.
At the seminar, the presentations of female directors of cooperatives shared the difficulties, as well as the bravery, creativity and dynamism of women in the production and business process. Thereby, the role of women in the management and operation of cooperatives was affirmed, aiming to bring high production efficiency for their products.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council shared the difficulties of the women, but with their diligence, dynamism, creativity and ingenuity, they have created typical products processed from agricultural products in the province. The effective operation of cooperatives has contributed significantly to the economic and social development of the locality, especially the construction of new rural areas. However, the women need to innovate more to have high-value products and access to larger markets.
