The results confirmed that the 2018 National High School Examination Council of Nghe An province conducted the exam seriously and in accordance with regulations. The organization of the exam was safe and serious, there were no errors in the exam organization process, no exam supervisors violated the exam regulations; The grading of multiple-choice tests as well as essay tests was carried out in accordance with the exam regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training; the Examination Council's Committees closely coordinated in the grading work, ensuring objectivity, seriousness and compliance with regulations.

In addition, the re-scoring of 1,077 exams from July 23 to 25, 2018 was also carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations. As a result, 94 Literature exams had their scores changed. Of these, 62 had their scores increased, 32 had their scores decreased, the highest increase was 0.25 points; 2 exams had to be contested and 1 exam had its score entered incorrectly.
In addition, there is 1 English test that has a score change after the review with an increase of 0.2 points. Currently, the Department of Education and Training has conducted a temporary graduation recognition before the review and an official graduation recognition after the review on July 30, 2018.
Previously, at a meeting with the Provincial People's Committee on preparations for the school year summary on July 24, the Director of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training also said that the 28th examination cluster in Nghe An had no leaders or intervention in the exam. In the results of the national high school exam, Nghe An ranked 42nd out of 63 provinces and cities and in general, the results were lower than in previous years.

In block C, the candidates with the highest scores, in addition to 8 students from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted (many candidates eligible for direct admission), are from schools such as DTNT 2 High School, Nguyen Duc Mau High School, Yen Thanh 2, Dien Chau 4, Nam Dan 1... In blocks D and A1, the candidates with the highest scores belong to Phan Boi Chau High School and Do Luong 1 High School.
