According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hanh - Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC & CNCH), Nghe An Provincial Police: Based on the spirit of Directive No. 19 of the Prime Minister, after March 30, 2025, rental facilities such as motels and mini apartments that have not completed fire safety measures according to regulations will be forced to temporarily suspend operations.
Implementing this direction, Nghe An Provincial Police have proactively promoted propaganda activities, and established specialized working groups to inspect and evaluate the level of compliance with fire safety and rescue regulations at motels and accommodation service establishments across the province. Thereby, the functional forces have promptly corrected and urged the correction of violations, ensuring the progress of implementation as required.
For 9 boarding houses currently in the process of overcoming fire prevention and fighting problems, the authorities have directly instructed the owners to implement solutions according to Official Dispatch No. 7293/UBND-CN dated August 26, 2024 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. This dispatch clearly states urgent measures to enhance fire prevention and fighting safety conditions for multi-storey houses, multi-apartment houses, individual houses combined with production and business, including rental houses.
However, in addition to the drastic involvement of functional forces and authorities in tightening management, especially the work of granting construction and operation permits for types of boarding houses and mini apartments, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hanh also emphasized: Each citizen needs to proactively equip themselves with knowledge and basic escape skills such as using fire extinguishers, gas masks, rope ladders, iron ladders to escape from balconies... to protect themselves in emergency situations.
