Nghe An has 4 more communes meeting the model New Rural standards

On the morning of April 25, the Nghe An Province New Rural Appraisal Council held a vote to appraise communes that meet model new rural standards in 2024.

Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial New Rural Appraisal Council; representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; representatives of departments, branches, localities and appraised communes including: Tan Son, Yen Son (Do Luong district), Bac Thanh (Yen Thanh district) and Nghi Thuan (Nghi Loc district).

At the meeting, the representative of the Nghe An Province New Rural Area Coordination Office briefly reported on the assessment situation in the communes. Accordingly, the dossiers of the 4 communes submitted for assessment to meet the model new rural standards in 2024 were complete according to the requirements in Decision No. 18/2022/QD-TTg dated August 2, 2022. All 4 communes have no outstanding debts in basic construction in the model new rural area construction in 2024.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at district and commune levels have organized to collect opinions on people's satisfaction with the results of building model new rural areas in communes according to regulations; the percentage of households surveyed who responded with general satisfaction with the results of building new rural areas in communes was over 99%. Therefore, the Provincial New Rural Area Appraisal Council conducted appraisal and included them in the list for voting.

As a result of the vote, members of the Provincial New Rural Appraisal Council unanimously agreed to propose the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to recognize 4 communes meeting the model new rural standards in 2024.

Specifically, Yen Son commune, Do Luong district, achieved the model new rural standard in terms of security and order; Tan Son commune, Do Luong district, achieved the model new rural standard in terms of culture; Bac Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, achieved the model new rural standard in terms of security and order; Nghi Thuan commune, Nghi Loc district, achieved the model new rural standard in terms of digital transformation.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the urgent and serious working spirit of the departments and branches and the support of the District People's Committees in the past time; at the same time, assigned the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office to urgently complete the dossier to submit to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for recognition.

For communes, continue to improve and enhance the achieved criteria in a synchronous, sustainable and comprehensive manner. Consider new rural construction as a regular and continuous task; focus on prioritizing economic development to improve the material and spiritual life of farmers; limit excessive mobilization of people...

Thus, up to now, the whole province has 275 communes meeting NTM standards, 102 communes meeting advanced NTM standards, 16 communes meeting model NTM standards, and 10 districts meeting NTM standards.
